Program details
Not only will you see more of the city in these hours than you would normally see in days, but you will also get a genuine insight into the city, its people and its past, and uncover a few hidden gems in the process.
The leisurely cycle covers about 10km (six miles) and stops every few hundred metres to take in the sights and learn all about them. The tours aren’t strenuous and people of all ages and fitness levels can take part.
Visit the remnants of the Berlin Wall, pass through the legendary Checkpoint Charlie, and stand in the notorious death-strip under a watchtower. Stand on the site of Hitler’s bunker, visit the square where the Nazis burned the books of ‘decadent’ writers and see the Reichstag, the burning of which was used by Hitler to rise to power.
Cross through the massive Tiergarten Park for a lovely ride to a delightful beer garden. This is a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Back on the bike, pedal your way through the new government quarter, which has been built over the former no-man’s-land.
Explore Prussian Berlin, ride through the Brandenburg Gate, head over the Museum Island, the Gendarmenmarkt and much, much more.
