Program details

Drinking beer in the city that was once known as the “Beer Capital of the World” and chowing down on the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi (for real) should definitely be on your bucket list. After all, it’s the simple things in life that bring us the most joy, right? And dining picnic-style while tasting a variety of craft beers sounds pretty joyful to us!

We’ll begin our Cincinnati beer and food tour at a beer bar situated on the mighty Ohio River. The bar’s namesake immigrated from Bavaria to America in 1841, and the beers here have been rewarded with top honors.

Next up, we’ll walk a block to catch the streetcar and you’ll feel like a local as you ride public transport and watch the unique architecture and colorful art murals go by. We’ll be heading to Over-the-Rhine, one of the most unique urban neighborhoods in the country, and famous for having the nation’s largest collection of 19th-century Italianate architecture. This is “the” place to go for trendy eateries and eclectic bars aplenty.

After picking up our BBQ meal, we’ll walk less than two blocks to our next stop, a brewery that, in their words, “has a passion for brewing tasty beer that sings with flavor.” We’ll have a picnic-style feast paired with a flight of craft beers to wash it all down. The place is decked out with a rooftop area for when the weather is nice, corn-hole boards (that’s okay if you’ve never heard of them), and ping-pong tables, so you’re guaranteed to have a brewtastic time!

Then all aboard for another short ride on the streetcar to our final destination, a mid-1800s beautifully renovated church that’s been transformed into a brew pub — while you’re there, be sure to admire the stunning architecture and walls adorned with photographs of the only United States president born in Cincinnati.

Throughout it all, you'll hear stories about Porkopolis, beer, and other fun Cincy facts. No matter whether you are a first-time visitor or have lived in Cincinnati your entire life, you’ll learn something new. Feel free to use your streetcar ticket to head back to your accommodation or stay on at the brewery for another libation.
