Join us for a wonderful adventure to discover the essence of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere. Made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, this is most definitely a must see during your visit.
Highlights
- Nature walk through jungle trail
- Visit to Muyil followed by guided tour of the ruins
- Boarding of the panga and crossing of lagoons and mayan canals
First we'll take you to the archaeological site of Muyil, one of the select sites embedded in this reserve. After your guided tour and insight in Mayan culture we'll explore the jungle and wet lands typical for the area as your expert guides share a wealth of knowledge with you about the local flora and fauna.
Then, we'll board a motorboat and cross the emerald waters of the Chunyaxché Lagoon through ancient Mayan canals to reach a unique mangrove river in the heart of Sian Ka'an. Aided by your floating devices we'll let the river carry us through some of the most beautiful scenery the Biosphere has to offer.
We’ll wrap up this amazing day with a delicious beachside lunch with complimentary beverages, overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean, before returning to your hotel. This is your chance to get a taste of the spectacular beauty of the Riviera Maya – come discover why one of the world’s greatest cultures called it home!
