In this excursion, you will visit the imposing south of Mendoza Province, which is known for it's green valleys and water courses. This complete journey is a mixture of nature and history, as we will go visit Uco Valley, Nihuil Dam & Reservoir, 25 de Mayo Village, San Rafael City and the Wax Museum.
Depart Mendoza city around 7am. to head south. During the trip, appreciate the sharp contrast of natural oasis as Uco Valley, deserts, water courses, natural rock formations, and more.
Arrive at 25 de Mayo Village, where Fort San Rafael was founded. There, get in touch with the region's history and learn about its traditions. Then, continue further south to reach the Nihuil dam. This place is usually chosen by nature lovers to spend the day, as you can practice activities like fishing, hiking, water sports or just relax.
Entering the Atuel Canyon, discover wonderful sculptures in natural walls forming the canyon, hanging gardens, the chair of Rivadavia, and visit the Wax Museum. The constant sound provided by the Atuel river accompanies the journey up to the Valle Grande dam, source of unmatched beauty, where you will have time to relax and enjoy lunch.
After walking through the city of San Rafael, head back to Mendoza.
