Program details
The only way to beat the crowds at the Vatican is by going when they aren’t there - in this case before opening time. In small groups of only 15 people or fewer you’ll see the best of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s Basilica with an expert Spanish-speaking guide – who will give the tour entirely in Spanish and answer any questions you might have.
With the earliest entrance of any Vatican Museums tour in Spanish, you’ll get inside the Vatican Museums long before the general public. Along with your expert guide you’ll explore the rooms and galleries of the Museums before the crowds get there. You’ll see the ancient Greek sculpture that inspired Michelangelo; be dazzled by the work of early cartographers in the Gallery of the Maps; spot optical illusions in the Gallery of the Tapestries; and admire the Raphael Rooms, considered by many to be as beautiful as the Sistine Chapel.
Of course you’ll also see the Sistine Chapel. Before you enter, your guide will give you a full briefing, using visual aids, so you know what to look for inside. They will also tell you some of the most interesting stories and anecdotes about the room to add a human dimension to all that religious grandeur. You’ll have 20 – 30 minutes to admire Michelangelo’s frescos in the company of only a few other groups - an incredible opportunity considering how packed the room can be - before meeting your group at the end of the room.
Instead of waiting in line for hours to get into St. Peter’s you’ll now enjoy special access to a door that leads directly into the Basilica. Inside you’ll spend an hour with your guide & group seeing Michelangelo’s ‘Pieta’, Bernini’s baldachin and the stunning architecture of the world’s most famous church.
With a small group of 15 people or fewer and an expert, Spanish speaking guide, this is one of the most rewarding and unique experiences you can have in the Vatican Museums. No other tour can offer you this combination of early entrance time, small groups, and knowledgeable, Spanish speaking guides who will bring the museums to life with their amazing stories, facts, and anecdotes.
