Come for an unforgettable lesson in the art of archery surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the Andorran Pyrenees.
The ancient sport of archery is a discipline that attracts adults and kids alike. Take part in this half hour lesson and learn all about how to hold your bow and fire at objects. Pretend to be a knight from past centuries or simply enjoy the experience for what it is as your teacher guides you through the techniques. Used in the past as a way of hunting or a way of fighting, today you will learn the more passive way of using your bow and arrow.
Practise how to grasp the bow and place the arrow in the correct position. See how to pull the string and aim correctly (something not as easy as it looks). Learn the basic rules, then prepare to test your skills as you stand in front of the target. Tense your body. Steady your grip. Use strength but don´t lose your concentration. Focus on your target. Aim, fire and let go of the string! Hear the satisfying whoosh as the arrow shoots off and feel the thrill as it whizzes towards the target. The experts make it look easy, but you will soon discover that it is not. After a bit of practice though, you are sure to become an accomplished bowman.
