Give yourself a relaxing treat with this tour of a winery complete with a tasting and a delicious meal. When you arrive at the 17th century villa you will find it hard to believe that you are just steps away from the centre of Florence. Feel far away from the hustle and the bustle of the city as you indulge in a calm evening of wine, pleasant conversation and Tuscan food. Around you will only be narrow hilly roads, vineyards and olive groves. You might even spot a rabbit or a pheasant roaming around; you will feel as if in paradise.
During this one-of-a-kind experience, the evening begins with the villa’s winemaker inviting you to explore the elaborate production process of the olive oil and wines here made. Learn about the many whites, reds from a selection of Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabarnet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grapes. Delve into the underground cellar and check out the machines used today.
Once you have learned all about the wines comes the time for the tasting: one white, two reds and a special dessert wine. And last but not least, the conclusion of the tour takes place in the villa’s garden with a hearty Tuscan four-course meal. Taste typical dishes such as crostini, prosciutto, Parmigiano, Pienza pecorino cheese, regional pasta and a second course of meat and potatoes. As you take delight in each delicious dish, lose yourself in the contemplation of the breath-taking panoramic views around you.
