HIGHLIGHTS:

* Sample local wines in Montalcino

* Admire the architectural beauty of Pienza and Montepulciano

Our morning begins in Siena, theatre for the unique Palio horse race and gallery for magical Gothic architecture in the form of the Duomo and Palazzo Comunale. Continue on to visit a cellar in Montalcino, where samples of locally-grown wines and snacks are waiting to be discovered. In the afternoon, your guide will show you around the typical village and fortress of Montalcino.

Next the tour takes us to two artistic Tuscan jewels, Pienza and Montepulciano, representative of the Val d’Orcia landscape. Pienza is a perfect combination of architectural beauty and harmony. Most of the numerous lanes bearing impressive names overlook the breathtaking landscape of Val d’Orcia. Unique tastes, smells and flavours support this natural and artistic heritage, famous for its Pecorino cheese.

The tour ends in Montepulciano, whose stately Renaissance buildings and refined beauty combine with the ancient tradition of its wine, Nobile di Montepulciano, symbol of the city as well as a delight on your palate. Taste it in a local winery, and savour the memories from the day.
