This guided tour will immerse you in the history and culture of Santa Cruz, taking you inside its most important landmarks such as its Gothic Cathedral with its spectacular Giralda bell tower and the famous Courtyard of Flags.



Begin your tour with a visit to Seville’s iconic Cathedral, known as Santa Maria de la Sede. Officially the largest Cathedral in the world and the burial site of Christopher Columbus, your guide will lead you around the exterior of this enormous Gothic church before heading inside to appreciate the interior.



Listen carefully as your guide explains the area’s history as a Jewish ghetto and how every Jewish person in the city was forced to relocate here after Ferdinand III conquered Seville from Muslim rule. Learn the many stories and legends from this time period as you visit its most historic and picturesque streets. Stop off at Santa Cruz Square to admire the fountain and the outdoor cafés that buzz with activity and wander down the narrow alleys of Santa Teresa Street as you are transported back in time to the 17th century and the founding of this Jewish Quarter.
