Program details
San Diego is the perfect location for you to try the fastest growing water sport – Stand Up Paddle Boarding. The calm waters of the resort of La Jolla, just north of San Diego are ideal whether you’re a beginner or looking to hone your skills. Enjoy great views of rugged cliffs and hidden caves as you keep your eyes peeled for the abundant marine life in the area.
Cruise over the La Jolla shark breeding grounds while looking out for bat rays, guitar fish and of course, the harmless leopard sharks that inhabit the shallows and are easily spotted from the paddle boards. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the beach, get a workout, and interact with San Diego’s amazing wildlife.
Tours are held daily, year round, and take around 1½ hours. Meeting location is at La Jolla Shores shop. Free parking is available on side streets. Please arrive 30 minutes before tour time to check in and get fitted for equipment. Contact the supplier for up-to-date information on tour times and meeting locations, as they vary and are subject to change without notice.
