Thessaloniki was once the largest city in the European part of the Ottoman Empire, with a multicultural society of Jews, Greeks, Bulgarians, Turks, Armenians and more. It was also the birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Together with your personal, professional guide you will visit Bezesteni bazaar, one of the very few remaining Ottoman buildings, which has preserved its original use over the years. You will walk in front of the Bey Cami and Alac Imaret. The tour includes stops at the symbol of the town, the White Tower, and the church of Saint Dimitrios, which was converted into a mosque by the Ottomans and has been restored several times. Next stop will be at Eptapyrgio castle, also known by its Turkish name ‘yedi kulle’. (The house of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk can be visit upon arrangement. The house remains closed for restauration till further notice. Only the court yard can be visited.)
