Make your way to Giverny where you'll begin at Claude Monet's home. Discover the famous gardens that inspired the works of the 'Father of impressionism'. With the well-known Japanese bridge, paths lined with flowers, and water-lily ponds, become a part of his famous paintings. Make your way to the house, with its pink crushed brick facade, and enjoy the colourful décor and Monet's exquisite collection of Japanese engravings.

Next, come to the huge Nymphéas studio, just a stone's throw from the house. The rectangular Clos Normand, with archways of climbing plants entwined around bright and vibrant shrubs, offers an inspiring palette of varying colours for all seasons. It is not difficult to see how nature's beauty was so very inspiring. After exploring Giverny, enjoy lunch at the "Moulin de Fourges" restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. Dating back to the 18th century, it offers a unique setting of rural grounds and a spacious terrace on the banks of the Epte.

In the afternoon, you'll be driven to Versailles Palace. This once regal residence of Louis IVX, is a remarkable sight. Gaze in awe at the sheer brilliance of the State Apartments. With stately columns and rooms that appear dipped in gold, the decadence of the royal lifestyle is exquisitely on display. Standing in the Hall of Mirrors, take in the beauty of the crystal chandeliers dripping gracefully from ornate ceilings. , head out for a stroll in the perfectly pruned pathways of the gardens as your day winds to an end.
