Program details
Set sail to a Mediterranean island paradise without leaving Athens, and enjoy a meal fit for the gods at Xenios Zeus restaurant. Nestled in the winding streets of hidden Anafiotika in the shadow of the mighty Acropolis, this friendly and picturesque spot certainly lives up to its name of 'Zeus the Hospitable'. Watch the setting sun illuminate the whitewashed steps, potted geraniums and shady olives of Anafiotika. Feel the cool breeze ruffle your hair while you feast on the very best Greek taverna cuisine in our vine-covered courtyard setting.
Tuck into minty tzatziki and the plumpest olives in Athens to begin. Then choose from pork rolls in their crackling coats, or another signature Greek dish: meltingly tender roast lamb. There’s traditional spinach pie and cheese croquettes, and the delicious fried courgette balls they call kolokithokeftedes – a mouthful in more ways than one. Why not order a carafe of Greek wine to accompany your meal?
As the sun sinks behind the Acropolis and the waiters start lighting the candles, it’s time for dessert. There’s creamy semolina or another chef’s speciality, yoghurt served with zesty candied bergamot. These ‘spoon sweets’ are a classic way to round off a meal and make a great accompaniment to a cup of fierce, grainy Greek coffee. Whatever you choose, at Xenios Zeus restaurant you’re certain of a magical evening with the warmest welcome in Athens. Day 2: This 60-minute session consists of multi-jet hydrotherapy in our modern thermal water pool and concludes with a steam bath in order to achieve maximum invigoration and wellness. Then a 20-minute body massage with gardenia body butter will regenerate both body and spirit.
Start/opening time: 10am. Summer only (15th March to 20th October).
End/closing time: Midnight.
Others: Please confirm your booking 24 hours in advance.
