With this three hour tour of the Park, you will get an in depth look into its design and history, from the competition that gave birth to the conservation movement that saved it at the beginning of the 20th century.
Discover the secrets that lie beneath the three and a half square kilometres of rolling hills and gorgeous vistas, such as how, despite looking so natural, it is the result of heavy design and planning. It took Frederic Law Olmsted and his partner Calvert Vaux almost twenty years to make their urban masterpiece a reality.
As we walk through its green scenarios and visit some of the Park's best known spaces and monuments, you'll learn about its juxtaposition of the beautiful and the picturesque, as well as other fun bits of trivia – including lesser known gems.
