Ahidden gem standing between Venice Square, The Forums and the Colosseum, begin exploring the vibrant history of Rione Monti. Dotted with historical monuments, churches, and medieval towers, this district can easily be considered the prettiest. Enjoy its unique character as you explore this amazing medieval atmosphere set in a maze of lanes and alleys. At the next stop, in a Gastronomia, a local deli, enliven your senses as you take in the colours and smells of the delicious food surrounding you. Take a sampling of some of the most common ingredients used as pizza toppings for a wide variety of common specialty pies. Taste the magnificent flavours of olives and basil as you learn about which toppings to add before and after baking. Wash it all down with traditional Italian sodas and Chinotto, the first ever soft drink of the country.
