To tour the vastness of the British Museum alone can be a daunting prospect. This tour offers you a carefully crafted itinerary thanks to which you will be able to see all of the most important highlights alongside a charming and knowledgeable guide. They will make your visit all the more interesting by sharing the tales that bring these historical objects to life.
As you navigate through the seventy galleries, you will cross Athenian marbles, Egyptian mummies, Anglo-Saxon treasures and even the infamous Rosetta Stone. Another highlight is bound to be the huge Parthenon Frieze. This sculpture, one metre high yet 160 metres long, is one of the most significant relics of Ancient Greece.
The Egyptian Rooms, with their eerie collection of mummies, are bound to make an impression. Learn all about the importance of death and the afterlife that formed the ancient Egyptian ethos.
